I worked on some design drawings for some buildings there. I forget the names, Two of the buildings were similar to one another, and there was a new theater with them. Maybe social sciences buildings?

possibly talked about this before. I think thats the first photo i’ve seen of it. My intership was over before it was finished. I helped with construction administration, basically answering questions for the builders and fixing what the previous inter messed up. I remember something with those small top windows.

Why a BA instead of a BS? Not sure of your career plans, but a BS opens a lot more technical doors and isn’t many more credits (in most schools).

I’m well versed in that line of reasoning. I’ve been having those thoughts for nearly 20 years I’ve worked in field. Problem is, being granted the priviledge to work at the edge of the known is just too good a drug.

Yeah, that picture came out really nicely. I had some senior photos taken with my girlfriend and the photographer snapped this one at the end. I’m very pleased with it!

I loved UCSB. The academics are good and it’s a fun school. What major though, it can really depend.

I was in a small honors college within UCSB called the College of Creative Studies and it has slightly different requirements. There’s less of a focus on BS gen ed classes and more of a focus on straight biology and research so I took the same amount of bio classes as the BS, just fewer stupid classes. Does that make sense?

Even though I just graduated, I’ve been doing research for like 5-6 years and I’m honestly a bit tired of it. I love the feeling of discovering something new, but when 6 PCR reactions have failed and all you’re getting are a lot of Primer-dimers, the law sounds more interesting.

That’s awesome, good luck. Remember that first year grades are super important. I treated law school more like a 9-5 job, which allowed me to stay on top of the reading.

Do they still do the Socratic case law method? If so, it helped me to read something like a nutshell at the beginning of every semester on each class to get the gist of the law.

Everybody has their own exam strategy. Mine was to re-summarize my notes onto smaller and smaller lists until I had basically memorized everything. Normally each class could be reduced to two pages of rules although I have tiny handwriting.
